William is the Web Architect for ITS Digital Services at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He’s responsible for two large WordPress multisite networks that have grown to over 10,000 sites and 40,000 users and powers a wide range of use cases, from the university’s homepage all the way down to individual student assignments. Before returning to UNC in 2012 to help launch their enterprise multisite networks, he spent several years freelancing and working on various web projects with organizations such as Quintiles and TED. In his free time he’s a core contributor for multisite and an avid kayak fisherman.
